Cherry Bars
– Butter – Granulated sugar – Eggs – Vanilla – Flour – Salt – Baking powder – Cherry pie filling – Powdered sugar – Milk
Ingredients
Cream butter and sugar

Cream together butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl on medium speed.
Add eggs

Add eggs to the butter mixture and beat well.
Mix in dry ingredients

Add vanilla, flour, salt, and baking powder to the wet ingredients and mix together on a low speed.
Spread batter

Grease a half-sheet pan and spread 2/3 of the batter in the pan.
Add cherries

Spread cherry pie filling across the batter.
Dot batter and bake

Dot the remaining batter on the bars and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Make glaze

Mix powdered sugar with milk in a small bowl to create the sugar glaze. Drizzle over cooled bars.
