Layers of meat, fresh veggies, cheese, and a special sauce make this Turkey Sandwich with Avocado a scrumptious choice for your next meal!

I’m a BIG sandwich lover and one of my favorites is the Kneader’s Turkey Bacon and Avocado sandwich.
It has big pieces of pulled turkey, bacon, avocado all served on their delicious focaccia bread.
This is my take on the sandwich and it works because it’s:
- Made with common condiments. The sauce may be special, but it’s made with ingredients you probably already have in your refrigerator.
- Affordable. Pulled turkey is delicious, but deli turkey is often cheaper and will still taste delicious.
- Fresh and scrumptious! The savory turkey and bacon combine with the fresh vegetables and creamy sauce to make this a sandwich you’ll want to make more than once.
Step-by-Step Instructions

MIX ½ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, 2 teaspoons yellow mustard, and a pinch of both salt and sugar. Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors as desired.

WASH all of the produce. Rip 2 lettuce leaves into smaller pieces and slice 2 tomatoes and 1 avocado.

COOK 4-8 pieces of bacon (depending on how many you want on your sandwich) and place on a paper towel to drain.

SPREAD some of the sauce on the top piece of ciabatta roll.

ASSEMBLE the sandwich by layering pieces of turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and provolone cheese.

SERVE immediately.
Recipe Tips and Substitutions

The Kneader’s version of this sandwich is made on focaccia bread and comes with sliced red onion. Feel free to make it using those ingredients or you could try any of these bread options. You can’t go wrong!
- Sourdough
- Honey wheat
- Multigrain
- Artisan bread
To make this sandwich into sliders, follow the recipe, but use a 12 pack of your favorite rolls with the tops cut off. Layer all of the ingredients onto the bottom half of the rolls and then place the tops on. Brush the tops with butter. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
The Kneader’s version also uses pulled turkey instead deli turkey like I used in my pictures. Yes, pulled turkey will taste better, but deli turkey is often cheaper and more accessible. Use what you want! You could also substitute rotisserie chicken pieces.
This sandwich would be a great use of leftover Thanksgiving turkey.
Try one (or a few) of these sauces for a different flavor:
- Ranch
- Guacamole
- Plain mayo
- Mustard
Place the slices of cheese on the bread and toast them for an extra melty and crunchy texture!
A big thanks to House of Nash Eats for the sauce recipe.
