I’m a big fan of wraps because they’re just so easy to eat.
My husband is a big fan of these grilled wraps because it’s basically a traditional cheeseburger served in a tortilla.
So this dinner is a win-win in our house!
This recipe for grilled cheeseburger wraps works because it’s:
- Done in under 30 minutes. In the summer, I’m all about quick dinners so we can get back to the fun.
- Customizable. Have someone who doesn’t like pickles or tomatoes? Leave them off!
- Easy to make healthy. Simply substitute ground turkey for the ground beef and swap in some low-carb tortillas and you have a delicious healthy wrap.
- Kid-friendly! Most kiddos love hamburgers and this is an easy way to contain the mess! You can even serve them in a mason jar to make clean-up a breeze.

Step-by-Step Instructions
BROWN 2 pounds of ground beef (or ground turkey) in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
DRAIN the grease and then add 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 4 tablespoons of ketchup, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and salt and pepper to the meat. Stir well.
REDUCE heat to low and let meat mixture simmer for 3-5 minutes.
WHILE the meat is cooking, wash and chop 4-5 leaves of romaine lettuce, 2 medium tomatoes, and 1 avocado.
ONCE the meat is done, spread 1 burrito size tortilla with 1 tablespoon of mayo and mustard, to taste. Layer the lettuce, tomato slices, avocado, and pickle on one side of the tortilla.
TOP the veggies with the meat mixture and sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the meat.
STARTING from the edge, roll each tortilla up burrito-style. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
SPRAY a frying pan with non-stick cooking spray. Heat the pan to medium-low heat and carefully place 2 wraps on at a time, with the seam-side down.
COOK each side for about 2 minutes or until the tortilla has browned (you can place a small baking sheet on the wraps to keep them pressed while they cook).
Cut each wrap in half and serve immediately.

FAQs
If you want to make sure the cheese is extra melty, you can microwave the tortilla with cheese on it for 30 seconds before adding the rest of the ingredients and grilling it in the pan. Allow the tortilla to cool slightly before you roll it up or it could tear.
Yes! Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat in an air fryer to keep the ingredients nice and toasted.
